Let’s get into the details here, shall we? I’ll start with the functionalities I use most.
First off, the flip-action screwdriver is my favorite part – it really surprised me. Just press a button and BOOM! The drive swings out and locks into place. It’s like the switchblade of multi-tools!

The 12 extra bits all nest neatly inside the handle, which means you’ll always have the perfect screwdriver for the job!
No more wasting time rummaging through the tool bag.
No other tool has been able to combine so many essential tools into such a functional design… it’s genius!

A built-in magnet holds on all alloy bits, both on the end of the screwdriver and inside the case, so you never have to worry about losing your bits.
To be honest, I didn’t expect to be able to get much torque with it, but the 90-degree drive option actually gives me way more leverage than a standard screwdriver, making it ideal for breaking loose the most stubborn screws. It’s also great for getting into those really tight spaces without busting up your knuckles.

Next, the built-in LED light comes in extremely handy.
I’m constantly working in dark areas like in closets, under sinks, and even under houses. Now I simply press the button and it lights up the tip of the screwdriver so I can see what I’m doing. No more trying to hold a flashlight with one hand while struggling to work with the other.

I was shocked at how much I used the measuring tape.
I now realize that most of the measurements I make on a day-to-day basis are only a few feet. My standard 25’ tape is actually bigger and heavier than the entire Kelvin tool and only does one thing! Now that I have my Kelvin17 I haven’t touched my conventional measuring tape in weeks.

The carbon steel hammering surface is perfect for quickly pounding in nails and “persuading” things back into place like stubborn paint can lids and those wooden dowels you use when putting together flat-pack furniture.
For me, it’s just instinctual to quickly knock something into place using whatever tool I have in my hand at the time. With the Kelvin17 it’s nice to know it’s actually designed to do that (and it works like a charm).

When mounting TVs (a job I do at least twice a week) having the built-in level is a total game-changer (or should I say teeth saver!).

Before owning the Kelvin17 hanging a TV meant juggling between 3 different tools (screwdriver, measuring tape and level). I would always end up holding my nasty screwdriver in my mouth to free up a spare hand while switching tools.
Now I have everything I need in one tool, no more juggling! To be honest… I never want to mount another TV without my Kelvin17.
